In the village of Kotzebue where I spend my Autumns, Tuttu is the Iñupiaq name for caribou. A vital resource for Alaska’s first people. It is with reverence that I receive and am able to create wearable art from these animals. Birch bark, salt tanned Caribou fringe on sterling silver. Teal Czech glass.
